Once in awhile on a nice calm evening, while the house windows are open, we often hear owls hooting in the distance. If we don't hear the owls, we hear crows..... They're pretty annoying, but it usually means that our cool owl friend is around. Crows hate owls because owls like to eat crow eggs, hence why they caw all the time when owls are near. I've seen 5 crows cawing at a barred owl in our driveway one day.... the owl did not give two "you know whats".... I like to think there's always a huge aerial dogfight happening between them....hmmm that sounds like a cool paint idea.

Here's Cyril! The most handsome owl I know.
