A few years ago my wife and I had an amazing trip planned. We were to attend some of our very close friends' wedding in Ireland, and then scoot over to Portugal afterwards. It was supposed to be an epic adventure, but unfortunately covid had to come along and destroy any hopes of this happening. It was devastating.
We were on a roll prior to Covid, eloping in Croatia, and then visiting Malta not much more than a year later. It's been awhile since we've been able to get across the Atlantic Ocean.
Ye Olde tavern is inspired by the thought of hanging out in a little off street tavern, drinking a nice cold brew.... who am I kidding, we'd definetly be in there if this we're a real place, I like beer too much. I'd be sketched out about the crow out front perched on a post though. I'm sure he probably wants a nice cold drink also.
